⚡ Enhancements

  • Slack Integration
    • When you create a work item using the Create New Issue shortcut (from the three-dots menu in Slack), any updates to fields like State or Assignee will now automatically sync back to the Slack thread.
    • If a work item wasn’t created using the shortcut above, but you still want thread updates to sync, you can now use the Link Work Item shortcut to connect the Slack thread to an existing work item in Plane.
    • You can now set a default Slack channel for each project from the Slack integration settings page. Once that’s set up, Plane will automatically post to the selected channel whenever a new work item is created in that project.
  • Added sub-work item filters and grouping options, plus dedicated filters for Epic sub-work items.
  • Toggle for sub-issues now preserves visibility of work items attached to Epics
  • Members and Admins can now create API tokens for integration and automation.
  • Project exports now include additional fields for more comprehensive data transfer.
  • New workspaces now include a demo project to help you get started faster.
  • Added support for importing documents when migrating from Linear.
  • Added a convenient Connect button for users who need to authenticate Slack
  • Added Customer and Customer request activity tracking to Epics.
  • Introduced sort and display options for Initiatives, Epics, and sub-work items.
  • Cycles now precisely end at 11:59 PM UTC on the end date.
  • Updated work item state icons for better visibility.
  • Optimized Module patch endpoints for faster performance.
  • Added support for x-zip-compressed file attachments.

🛠️ Bug fixes

  • Fixed webhook handling when secret credentials are missing, ensuring more reliable repository connections.
  • Corrected project-level Work Item Template permissions to ensure proper access management.
  • Fixed tab focus behaviour in Work Item descriptions for better keyboard navigation.
  • Resolved user comment synchronization issues with automatic token refresh in Slack integrations.
  • Fixed state mapping for PR automation in both GitHub and GitLab integrations.
