What's new
Standardize process across your workspace
Set the rules once at the workspace level by enabling Governance and have every project inherit them. States, workflows, work item types, labels, and automations stay consistent no matter who creates a project, so you spend less time enforcing process and more time shipping.
Turning on workspace governance is a one-way change. It cannot be disabled or undone. Once enabled, project admins permanently lose the ability to create or edit states, workflows, work item types, labels, and automations inside their projects.
Maintain shared workspace context with Plane AI Memory
Plane AI now builds a persistent memory of how you and your team work, so useful context carries forward instead of being re-explained in every conversation.
- Build context at every level: Memory captures project structures, naming conventions, recurring workflows, decisions, and other context at the user, project, and workspace levels.
- Turn what AI learns into shared context: Project and workspace memories give future AI interactions a stronger understanding of how your team operates and how work is structured.
- See and control what Plane AI remembers: Memory is visible and editable in individual Plane AI tabs, project settings, and workspace settings, and updates as Plane AI learns new context during conversations.
Catch sensitive information inside your workspace
Introducing Argus, Plane's sensitive data scanner. It scans work item descriptions, comments, Pages, and attachments for PII, including emails, phone numbers, card numbers, government IDs, addresses, secrets, and API keys. Flag exposed data by category and location, and require redaction before an item can be shared or exported, all without content leaving your workspace.
New integration: Sync Plane with MS Teams
Plane can now be integrated with Microsoft Teams. Create work items, keep threads and work items synced, link existing work items to a Teams conversation, and sync projects to specific channels.
Share views with selected teammates
Share a view with specific people, giving each of them either view-only or edit access. Control exactly who sees and who can change a shared view.
Track work with new dashboard widgets
Add a smart counter for a state-wise breakdown of your work, and a smart gauge to track progress against a target. A pivot table breaks work down by two properties at once, and an intake volume by source widget shows where incoming requests are coming from.
Measure views on Pages and Collections
Get a read on how Pages are being viewed and by whom. Collection analytics gives you the same visibility at the collection level, helping you understand which parts of your knowledge base are getting used. Export the data to CSV when needed.
Organize content with tabs in Pages
Organize a page into horizontal or vertical tabs instead of stacking everything in one long column. A spec, its API details, and its test plan can each sit behind their own tab.
Reuse workflows by duplicating them
Build a workflow once and duplicate it at either the workspace or project level, instead of rebuilding it by hand for each team. Roll out a proven process in seconds.
Hide comments to keep threads clean
Admins can now hide and unhide comments on work items, Pages, and Teamspaces, with a reason attached: abuse, spam, off-topic, sensitive info, or other. Keep threads clean without deleting the comment outright.
Link Wiki Pages in the editor
Insert a page's children or its parent into another page, and set how many levels deep to pull in. You can also link a flat set of pages and group them by creator. Overview pages stop being hand-maintained link lists that go stale the moment someone adds a page.
Edit MS-Office files directly in Pages
Open a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file attached to a Page, edit it in Microsoft Office, and have those changes sync back to the copy in Plane. If someone else is already editing the file, Plane shows you that it's in use so you don't overwrite their changes.
Add Labels to Pages
Labels can now be attached to Pages, so you can group related documentation and find it fast. Tag pages by related teams, themes, or topics and browse your Wiki the same way you would filter work items.
