Work infrastructure for humans and agents

We’re building one connected system for projects, knowledge, and service, with shared context for teams and the agents they work with.

It runs in our cloud, your cloud, or no cloud at all.

The principles behind Plane

  1. Consolidation

Projects, knowledge, service, and decisions belong together, so the context behind work stays with it.

  2. Coordination

Humans and agents need shared context, clear ownership, and explicit handoffs to work well together.

  3. Cognition

What an organization learns should outlast any one project. Decisions and their context should inform the work that follows.

Faster loops need better coordination

Software now acts on work instead of recording it. Every function runs its own methodology: software, product, design, support, hiring. And across all, the execution time went from weeks to hours. The two ends of the loop are still human. Someone decides what is worth doing, and someone judges what the agents send back, at a volume no process was designed for.

Method cannot absorb that. The loops need shared state, a named owner for every piece of work, and a way to put each review in front of the one person who can make the call. That is why Plane exists.

ThenNowDecideExecuteJudge
Execution collapsed to machine speed. Deciding and judging still run at human speed.

Our story

We built Plane to make project management simpler and more flexible. Our open-source community has helped shape it since 2023. Today, we’re building one system for projects, knowledge, and service, where humans and agents work together.
