Overview

The Raycast integration for Plane brings powerful project management capabilities to your macOS command palette. Create, search, and manage Plane work items without opening the app — making it faster than ever to capture ideas, update progress, or find what you need.

Core Commands

• Create Work Item → Create new Plane issues with title, description, and metadata.
• Search Work Items → Find and filter issues across projects and workspaces.
• My Work Items → View work assigned to you (coming soon).

Work Item Management

• Comprehensive creation & editing → Set project, state, priority, labels, cycles, modules, and assignees.
• Markdown support → Add rich descriptions and context.
• Quick actions → Edit (⌘⇧E), update state (⌘⇧S), update priority (⌘⇧P), or open details (⌘⇧O).
• Real-time updates → All changes instantly reflected in your Plane workspace.

Search & Discovery

• Global search → Search across all Plane projects and workspaces.
• Advanced filters → Filter by state, priority, or project.
• Detailed views → View full metadata and context for any work item.

Configure

To enable the Raycast integration with Plane:

1. Install the extension from the Raycast Store.
2. Open Raycast (⌘ Space) and search for “Plane.”
3. Authenticate with your Plane workspace when prompted.
4. (Optional) Configure instance details in Raycast preferences:
• API Base Path: Your Plane API endpoint (default: https://api.plane.so)
• App Base URL: Your Plane web app (default: https://app.plane.so)
• API Key: Optional, OAuth recommended.

Once configured, you can create, search, and manage work items directly from Raycast.
