The Asana Importer helps teams move their existing Asana projects, tasks, and workflows into Plane without data loss. Bring over issues, priorities, sections, users, and comments — all mapped accurately to Plane’s work items and modules — so you can continue managing work in one unified platform.
Full workspace import → Migrate projects, tasks, states, priorities, and users from Asana into Plane.
Accurate field mapping → Retains labels, priorities, and parent-child task relationships.
User import flexibility → Sync users directly or manually invite them later for controlled onboarding.
State and priority mapping → Match Asana sections and priorities with Plane equivalents.
Incremental sync → Re-run imports anytime to sync new or updated Asana tasks.
Migration summary → Review all mappings before confirming import for transparency and control.
OAuth-based authentication → Securely connect your Asana account with a Personal Access Token.
Scoped permissions → Import actions are restricted to workspace admins for data integrity.
Go to Workspace Settings in Plane.
Under Importers, select Asana Importer.
Enter your Personal Access Token and connect your Asana account.
Select the Plane project to receive the imported data.
